Welcome to the second installment of APWT Stationery Blog's 'How To' series. In this post we will show you how to make our APWT Printable Bookmarks.

Step 1: Purchase and Download

Purchase item from our shop, when your payment is processed Etsy will send you an e-mail with a link to your bookmark file to download. If you have an Etsy account, you can also find the download in your order history after your payment is processed. 

Download file to your computer.  

Step 2: Open and Print

Your bookmark is saved in a PNG file format. The file will open just like any image file (i.e  JPEG or PDF), but will provide a better quality image for image printing.

Use a color printer to print out your bookmark (this particular bookmark only contains shades of black and white and gray so either a black and white printer or color printer will work). 

One bookmark measures 2" x 6" inches and will print (1)  per 8.5" x 11" inch sheet. If you can't print out the file yourself, upload the file to an online printing platform or take to a local print shop.

As with all of our designs, we've provided you with the image, but you can customize your bookmark by experimenting with paper weight, texture, and finishes, or just print out on plain white paper or card stock. 

Step 3: Cut

You can cut your bookmark with a scissor, or if you have a paper cutter you can use that as well.

That's it! You got yourself a new bookmark.

For a nice presentation, and to extend the life of your design, you can purchase a plastic or vinyl bookmark sleeve to add weight and protection to your bookmark (available on Amazon and other retailers).
